Dr. Melanie Milne (Chinese Medicine) offers holistic healthcare solutions in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Her gentle technique and non-judgmental approach aim to provide a safe environment where individuals are free to unblock the physical, mental and emotional barriers preventing them from flourishing health.
Dr. Melanie discovered the transformational power of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) after experiencing it first-hand. The profound sense of clarity and calm experienced during her first TCM treatment sparked a desire for more knowledge and compelled Melanie to return to study the art of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Health Science (Chinese Medicine) from The Southern School of Natural Medicine (SSNT) Dr. Melanie works with her clients to nurture their health and wellness.
Her practice style focuses on the role of emotion in disease pathogenesis according to TCM theory. Believing that addressing the emotional roots of physical disharmony is vital in long-term healing. Dr. Melanie is experienced working with individuals and couples suffering mental health disorders (anxiety, depression, stress), dermatological conditions, fertility and physical pain manifestations.
Combining her love of Chinese Medicine and extensive experience in the hair and beauty industry Dr. Melanie is passionate about her work with Cosmetic Acupuncture. “I love it because it works. Cosmetic Acupuncture is about understanding the importance of our internal state and how that affects the way we look. When we feed and nourish our body, mind and soul we glow from inside out. It’s a simple concept that encourages people to take an active role in their own health.”
Driven by her love of TCM and thirst for knowledge Dr. Melanie continues to develop her skillset with ongoing study of holistic health focusing on anxiety and depression, cosmetic acupuncture, dermatological conditions, dietary and crainosacral therapy.
In her personal life Melanie enjoys exploring the relationship between breath and movement through regular yoga practice and various dance styles. A classic introvert-extrovert she recharges by spending time in nature and balances this out with her love of quirky fashion and all things bling.
